The Supreme Court’s decision to allow the Department of Homeland Security to deny Temporary Protected status to populations without judicial review puts the Haitians living in Ohio at great risk. Haiti is not safe. Haiti is under Level 4 Do Not Travel advisory due to extreme gang violence, kidnappings, civil unrest, and severe shortages of basic necessities. The Haitians living here are contributing to Ohio in meaningful ways. The House has passed a bill extending their protected status. I want the Senator to vote yes on S.4814. There is not a single reason to put people successfully living among us at risk. Voting no is just murder.
