This weekend, I saw-as I'm sure you did- a picture of a starving infant in Gaza. I am a mother to a beautiful, healthy, chunky 6-month-old little girl. She is in my arms, babbling in my ear as I write this. I cannot unsee that baby's gaunt face. That could have been my baby. That could have been your baby. The only reason it's not, is a geographic luck of the draw that we were not born in the Middle East. The US must end support for the war in Gaza, recognize Palestine as a state, and force a ceasefire. Anything less puts those childrens' blood on our hands. This is an issue that will define our history and at the very least will impact whether or not you have a job after the next election.
