Schumer must step down from leadership role

Chuck Schumer failed spectacularly last week. He failed by voting for the awful budget resolution. He failed worse by voting for it after all the messaging that it was terrible and that the budget is the Democratic party’s most effective lever. A lever he decided to let go of - out of fear or out of being beholden to Wall Street, we will never know. But we know appeasement to dictators doesn’t work. We know we need a strong opposition leader in both houses of Congress. He is not that leader. Nor is Jeffries. I urge you to pressure Schumer to step down as Senate minority leader. We need someone with a spine who will fight for average Americans, and we have utterly lost confidence in him. His remaining in a leadership role hurts the party and hurts Americans as a result.
