I am writing as your constituent to express my opposition to the undemocratic erasure of data and information from the public record. From the service records of soldiers of color to air quality data to the status of diseases and outbreaks, this information is vital to a democratic republic. As the Trump administration pulls government websites and data offline, it is selectively stripping away the public record, letting the president declare his own version of history. It is incumbent on you as a member of Congress to defend the constitution of the United States and to combat this authoritarian power grab. Do not be complicit in fascism. We saw this under Adolf Hitler and in The Soviet Union. The history of fascism must not repeat itself in America in 2025
