Please reject SB 690, which purports to stop vexatious CIPA litigation against businesses but would mainly benefit the worst offenders at the expense of consumer privacy. Proponents of the bill have apparently made their real intent known by rejecting more sophisticated reforms, per Capitol Weekly, while opponents include the likes of Consumer Reports and the ACLU - California should join the latter.
