How much more evidence do you need before you fulfill your constitutional duty? Donald Trump has repeatedly demonstrated that he believes the presidency places him above the law. Every day Congress fails to act, you normalize abuses of power that would have been unthinkable under any previous president. The Constitution provides impeachment to stop exactly this kind of misconduct. Donald Trump has repeatedly obstructed congressional oversight, attacked the independence of the courts, retaliated against perceived political enemies, removed or sidelined independent watchdogs, and attempted to concentrate more power in the executive branch at the expense of Congress. He has publicly targeted law firms, universities, journalists, and other institutions because they opposed him or challenged his policies, raising grave First Amendment concerns. He has continued to blur the line between public office and private financial interests while refusing the level of transparency expected of every modern president. He has repeatedly tested the limits of executive authority, ignored long-standing democratic norms, and treated constitutional checks and balances as obstacles instead of safeguards. No president should be permitted to govern by intimidation, retaliation, or personal loyalty. Congress cannot continue to excuse conduct that would never be tolerated from any other public official. The question is no longer whether Donald Trump has pushed constitutional boundaries—it is whether Congress is willing to defend those boundaries at all. Impeachment is not a partisan weapon. It is a constitutional responsibility when a president abuses the powers of the office and places personal interests above the nation. History will not judge you by your statements. It will judge you by whether you acted while you still had the power to do so. Stop making excuses. Stop looking the other way. Uphold your oath, defend the Constitution, and begin impeachment proceedings immediately. The American people deserve a government where no one—not even the President of the United States—is above the law.
