I am writing to express my deep frustration and anger over the ongoing government shutdown and the continued harm it is causing to millions of Americans. Federal workers are missing paychecks, critical programs are stalling, and communities across the country are being hurt — all because political leaders are refusing to work together in good faith.
It is clear that Republican leadership bears significant responsibility for this crisis. Time and again, Republican members of Congress have chosen political brinkmanship over practical governance, refusing to compromise with Democrats to keep our government functioning. This partisan obstruction is unacceptable and directly harms the American people you were elected to serve.
We expect our representatives to prioritize the nation’s well-being, not political posturing. Every day this shutdown continues, families, small businesses, and public servants suffer needlessly. I urge you and your colleagues to put aside partisan agendas, reopen the government immediately, and engage in honest, bipartisan cooperation to address the issues at hand.
The American people deserve a functioning government — not endless gridlock and reckless decisions. Enough is enough.
