An Open Letter

To: Rep. DelBene, Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Kirkland, WA

April 27

Guess who has a higher GDP per capita than Germany, France, Belgium, Finland, Japan, South Korea, Spain, and Italy? Israel. They rank 18th wealthiest in the world. They are not a developing nation. They have universal healthcare for every citizen, a booming tech sector, and the third most NASDAQ-listed companies on earth after the U.S. and China. And we send them $3.8 billion every single year. Since October 7, 2023 alone, that number exploded to over $16 billion in additional military aid. Since 1946, we have given Israel more foreign aid than any other country in history — $298 billion inflation-adjusted. We don't send that to Germany. We don't send it to Japan. We don't send it to South Korea. All allies. All facing real threats. None getting anything close to what Israel gets. Here is what makes this impossible to defend: every Israeli citizen has guaranteed healthcare. Tens of millions of Americans do not. We are paying for their universal coverage while our own people ration insulin and skip doctor visits. That is not an alliance. That is us being played. I am asking you directly: stop taking AIPAC money. Stop letting a foreign lobbying interest write your foreign policy. And stop sending billions to one of the wealthiest countries on earth while treating American taxpayers like an ATM. Your constituents are watching.
