The US Constitution clearly states in Article I, Section 8 and Section 9, that the legislative branch has massive leverage to control, fund, or defund government programs, agencies, and presidential initiatives. This begs the question: what are you doing? I have stood by, horrified, as the president knocked down part of the White House for a ballroom, destroyed the overall character of the Whitehouse to install Corinthian columns to suit his personal, baroque, taste, give a crony millions of dollars to ruin the iconic reflecting pool, harass citizens over their protected right of free speech, waste taxpayer money on a questionable gift from Qatar . . . I could go on, but you already know the damage he is doing to our nation—both literally and figuratively. How can you stomach this? I know I can’t. I am demanding you to take action to curtail the ongoing mess Donald Trump is making. Do your job.
