End the federal government shut down

To: Rep. Gooden

From: A constituent in Wills Point, TX

October 25

I'm contacting you to demand that an end to the federal government shutdown. If the shutdown hasn't ended by October 27th, SNAP benefits in Texas will not go out. One million veterans use SNAP benefits. You are putting one million veterans lives at risk by not ending the shutdown. These are people who fought for you, many of whom became disabled doing so, and you're not going to fight for them? This is outrageous. You are supposed to have respect for those who've served. And you can't respect them enough to ensure they won't starve? I will not continue to vote for you if you do not support an end to the federal government shutdown, and apologize to the veterans you have let down.
