The Office of Management and Budget under Russell Vought needs to be stopped from politicizing federal science funding and grant decisions. Science policy must be driven by evidence and expert judgment, not ideological litmus tests. I'm asking you to take direct action — through oversight, legislation, or public pressure — to block OMB's interference in the scientific grant process.
When political appointees override peer-reviewed funding decisions, we lose more than money. We lose credibility, talent, and research that takes years to rebuild. Scientists — not budget officials with political agendas — should determine which science gets funded. The integrity of federal research agencies depends on that principle being non-negotiable.
