On March 21st, the funding for The Unaccompanied Children's Program in the immigration system was nearly completely scraped. This has stripped thousands of kids that have been taken from their families with no way to navigate our legal system. Many of those lawyers were working probono for these children. Some of these little kids cannot read or write, and they are expected to craft a legal argument? This is absolutely heinous. If you care about kids like you say you do, you need to champion their right to a fair trial, if nothing else. Demand this get refunded immediately and suspend any trials until this is fixed. All cases in which there was no defense present should also be immediately thrown out. Thank you.
