The “AI” scraper bots are out of control. They ignore the robots.txt equivalent for LLMs and have made obscene amounts of money for their scam artist creators, while putting real artists out of work (and effectively DDoS-ing their servers). California should force “AI” companies’ hands by passing AB 412, the AI Copyright Transparency Act - this bill is obviously impossible to comply with and that’s a damning indictment of LLM companies. Please do all in your power to lance the “AI” boil before it gets even deeper into people’s retirement accounts…
