Investigate unsecured transmission of classified info, demand accountability

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. McClintock

From: A constituent in El Dorado Hills, CA

July 23

The recent revelations about the secure messaging app "Signal" being used by high-ranking officials to share classified information are deeply concerning. We cannot stand idly by while potential breaches of national security protocols occur without consequence. All individuals involved in this reckless behavior, regardless of position or party affiliation, should immediately resign to preserve the integrity of our government institutions. An independent, impartial investigation must also be launched to determine the full extent of these transgressions and ensure no further unsecured transmission of sensitive data is taking place. Our elected leaders have a solemn duty to uphold the public trust and handle classified materials with the utmost care and responsibility. Any failure to do so chips away at our democracy and national security apparatus. I urge you to take resolute action by calling for the resignations of all those complicit in this matter and authorizing a thorough, transparent investigation without delay. The American people deserve full accountability.
