With all of the apparently verified information about Eric Swalwell’s transgressions swirling about, the Democrats need to narrow down the candidates to one or two, or face the possibility of a GOP candidate vs GOP candidate in the general election. With Swalwell apparently severely damaged, the Republicans hold the top 2 spots in the polls. Someone will need to put their current ambitions aside to endorse a stronger candidate that could end in the top two positions to avoid a general election wipeout. Now is the time to choose party and state over self. The current top 2 primary finishers system is a two edged sword. That also means people will need to reassess their choices. We don’t need a GOP governor who could work against us in the 2028 presidential election.
