DON’T New YORK My TEXAS

To: Rep. Ward Johnson, Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Patrick, Sen. Cook

From: A constituent in Houston, TX

August 7, 2025

Remember that old El Paso salsa commercial where the cowboys shout, “New York City?!” in disbelief? That’s exactly how Texans should feel about your shameless gerrymandering and your boot-licking allegiance to a con man from New York City. We don’t need our democracy diced up to please a wannabe dictator from Manhattan. You’re selling out Texas, and we see it.
