No One Gets to Bury Their Own Evidence — Not Even the President.

To: Rep. Nunn, Sen. Ernst, Sen. Grassley

From: A verified voter in Des Moines, IA

February 26

I am urging you to support the impeachment of President Donald Trump. Not based on rumor. Not based on politics. Based on verified facts reported by NPR, Reuters, and CNBC — today. He Is Breaking a Law He Signed. In November 2025 President Trump signed the Epstein Files Transparency Act — a law passed with near unanimous bipartisan support requiring the full release of all Justice Department files related to Jeffrey Epstein. He signed it. It is the law. And his own Justice Department is now violating it. The Cover-Up Is Real. An NPR investigation found that the Justice Department has withheld and removed Epstein files related to allegations that President Trump sexually abused a minor. More than 50 pages of FBI interviews and notes related to a woman who accused Trump of sexual abuse when she was a child are missing from the public record — despite a law mandating their release. Representative Robert Garcia, the senior Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, stated — “Covering up direct evidence of a potential assault by the President of the United States is the most serious possible crime in this White House cover-up. These records must immediately be shared with Congress and the American people.” The Allegations Are Documented. According to released FBI files, one woman alleged that around 1983, when she was approximately 13 years old, Epstein introduced her to Trump. A second woman whose testimony helped convict Ghislaine Maxwell at trial stated that Epstein introduced her to Trump at Mar-a-Lago when she was 14 or 15 years old. These are not tabloid claims. These are FBI documents. And they are being hidden from the American people by the very president they concern. This Is Obstruction. A president who signs a transparency law and then instructs his Justice Department to bury the files that implicate him is not governing. He is covering up. That is obstruction of justice. That is an abuse of power. That is precisely what the impeachment clause of the Constitution was written for. The House Oversight Committee’s ranking member has formally demanded that Attorney General Pam Bondi explain why these documents were withheld and whether there is an active federal investigation into the sexual abuse allegations against the president. The American people deserve those same answers. No One Is Above the Law. Not a businessman. Not a candidate. Not a president. The moment a president uses the power of his office to bury evidence that implicates him personally he has forfeited his right to hold that office. Representative, this is not about party. This is about accountability. This is about the rule of law. This is about whether this country still believes that justice applies to everyone — or only to those without the power to make it disappear. The files must be released. The truth must come out. And Donald Trump must be held accountable. Vote to impeach. Respectfully,
