Maryland House Bill 120

To: Sen. Harris, Del. Fisher, Gov. Moore

From: A constituent in Chesapeake Beach, MD

April 17

Please get House Bill 120 passed and signed into law. We need to pause new data center construction in Maryland. The concerns about the energy demands of data centers and their impact on the state's energy infrastructure and environmental goals are legitimate. We who live in Calvert County certainly do not want one here. Nor do the people of Charles County. None of the Marylanders that I’ve spoken with in any county want them. We see what is happening where they do have data centers. It is not what we want where we live.
