Today I viewed multiple posts made by Rep. Randy Fine dated July 27, 2025, which I urge you to review immediately. In them, Mr. Fine proudly references what he calls the “Thump Thump Act” — a proposal that openly encourages vehicular violence against protesters, immigrants, Muslims, and other targeted groups.
Among the statements posted:
• “The Thump Thump Act will allow Americans to run over these Muslim Terrorists.”
• “It will also allow you to run over BLM, Antifa, illegal immigrants, and anyone else who intentionally blocks roads! Thump thump!”
• And perhaps most disturbingly, “They don’t try this in Florida because of the bill I helped pass… It’s time to take it national.”
This is not satire. These are direct quotes from a sitting member of Congress celebrating the idea of using deadly force against civilians exercising their rights. Mr. Fine is not simply advocating for legal immunity; he is actively inciting violence — framing it as policy and boasting that people “had him for free” in reference to AIPAC endorsement.
Let me be perfectly clear: this rhetoric is dangerous, vile, and incompatible with the responsibilities of public office. Encouraging the murder of people based on religion, immigration status, or political beliefs is not protected political speech — it is hate speech and it endangers lives.
I call on you to:
• Publicly condemn Rep. Randy Fine’s statements
• Investigate his conduct for potential violations of ethics or incitement laws
• Ensure no such “act” is drafted, sponsored, or passed at the federal level
• Reaffirm that the U.S. Congress does not endorse political violence in any form
The longer this goes unanswered, the more normalized this type of genocidal language becomes. We have seen how quickly words like these turn into action.
Do not wait until someone dies.
