Stop senate bill 1476

To: Sen. Schnelting, Gov. Kehoe, Rep. West

From: A constituent in Saint Peters, MO

March 26

I am writing to oppose senate bill 1476. Drag is an art form. It is not pornographic. It does not appeal to the prurient interest. The law seems to ban trans persons being in public which is blatantly unconstitutional. It is very concerning to me that the government seems so concerned about individual citizen’s genitals. People that are concerned about the genitalia of others are the problem here. Instead, please consider legislation that protects all citizens from inquiry by others or the government related to their genitalia. The profiling going on and being tolerated and even encouraged by this bill is very concerning. Given that we clearly have a problem with pedophiles and abusers in the federal government, I would respectfully request that Missouri not do anything that makes them appear to be in league with that portion of the federal government or similar to it. I thought this state is supposed to be about not treading on others and personal rights, not about restricting personal rights in violation of the constitution
