Stop Trump's War with Iran

To: Rep. Larsen, Sen. Murray, Sen. Cantwell

From: A constituent in Clinton, WA

March 10

I am writing to demand swift congressional action regarding President Trump’s unauthorized military strikes on Iran. The Constitution grants Congress the sole authority to declare war, yet the administration has thrust the U.S. into armed conflict without congressional approval—endangering service members, American civilians, and Iranian civilians alike. The American public rejects another protracted Middle‑East war. We have witnessed the human, moral, and financial toll of unilateral regime‑change operations, and history must not repeat itself. Trump is spending billions on a foreign war of choice and paying for it by jacking up healthcare, housing, grocery, and gas prices for me and my family. I respectfully request that you: 1. Publicly oppose the strikes and call for an immediate cessation of hostilities. 2. Advance War Powers Resolutions that require congressional consent for continued military action. 3. Vote against all supplemental funding for this conflict, ensuring no further resources are directed toward it. 4. Demand full transparency and accountability from the administration regarding these actions. Will you uphold your constitutional duty to check executive power and prevent further escalation? I await your response and look forward to seeing decisive action.
