The President is Not Well, Nor is He Fit or Competent to Serve

To: Sen. Young, Sen. Banks, Rep. Messmer

From: A verified voter in Mount Vernon, IN

April 16

Trump is not well. It’s Congress’ responsibility to decide whether the president is mentally fit to serve. I grew up Catholic and I support any religious beliefs as long as they do not harm others. From posting photos of himself as Jesus to picking fights with the Pope, Trump is not behaving as the leader of the USA should. Beyond that, the president doesn’t seem to understand WHY his behavior is wrong; that inability to assess his own behavior should bother all Americans regardless of political party. Our president is showing signs of grave mental decline. If any other person behaved this way, they would be removed from office. Yet, the GOP seems willing to sit idly by while the leader of our country devolves into blasphemy on the world stage. The president’s actions are embarrassing and antithetical to Christian teachings — they are also the signs of severe mental decline. It’s time for every single member of Congress, including Republicans, to have a “come to Jesus” meeting with his/her conscience. You have to know that Trump’s behavior isn’t normal nor is it acceptable. Speak out and demand accountability. Americans deserve to have a capable, competent leader in the office of the president, instead of a man who appears to be struggling with mental wellness issues.
