I am writing today as a deeply exhausted and frustrated constituent. I am tired of hearing the excuse that House Democrats lack power because you are in the minority. Under House Rule IX, rank-and-file members possess the exact procedural mechanism needed to bypass majority leadership, command the floor, and expose this administration's daily offenses. This administration commits impeachable acts daily, making it impossible for regular citizens to keep up. I cannot send a letter for every infraction. But with over two hundred House Democrats and your combined staff resources, you have the collective power to manage this crisis if you choose to fight. On July 1, 2026, active-duty Air Force Major Jason Watson risked his career and freedom by ascending the Capitol steps alone to demand that Congress honor its oath, declaring that the president and VP must be impeached, convicted, and removed. Representative Al Green demonstrated institutional courage by ensuring Major Watson had the platform to hold his historic press conference and walked alongside him to the steps. We need that same courage from you. I demand that you work directly with Representative Al Green, Ranking Member Jamie Raskin, and the progressive caucus to bring a coordinated daily strategy to fruition. You must organize a rotating schedule where a different Democrat invokes House Rule IX every single day, forcing a continuous, daily vote on articles of impeachment for both the President and Vice President. Even if the majority moves to table these resolutions, a daily rolling deployment of this tactic will aggressively disrupt harmful legislation and force vulnerable majority members to repeatedly and publicly vote to shield this administration. Please don’t hide behind minority status. Let me know if you will coordinate with Rep. Green and your colleagues to establish this daily schedule of Rule IX impeachment filings.
