I write to you again, perhaps the third time since 2016, to beg you, to implore you, to entreat you to consider secession from this totally f*cked country we used to call home. Imagine how much money we would have to implement social programs, support and create equality, invite productive immigrants, invest in ourselves in the ocean, protect protected land, etc. etc. if we got to keep all our money and didn’t have to donate to a failing country that only takes. California is the fifth largest economy in the world! And that is with the burden of the entire US on its back. Without that money drain, we would be the fourth largest economy in the world. Let that be our goal! You absolutely know that project 2025 will not just destroy 248 years of democracy and our relations with all the world except for the dictators and authoritarians, but it will destroy our most excellent economy. Why would you want to do that? Just making laws to try to protect ourselves from the federal government WILL NOT WORK. You know this. Please do not be the consummate politician and try to make this work. It won’t. Be the consummate human being and save us. We did not vote for any of this shit. We voted to save democracy and the world. Take the mandate from the California voters and save us! Secede NOW! Please 🙏🏽
