Stop the Sale of Public Lands

To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A constituent in Denver, CO

June 20

Stop the sale of public lands, please. At least get creative with some lawyers to save Colorado. I am one of the 264,500+ people who moved to Colorado specifically because of the gorgeous landscape. Many of my favorite trails are up for sale, which is just despicable. Especially since the motives is to exploit the land, potentially exposing us to all sorts of things and threatening our water supply. The likelihood that it’s sold to a mega corporation like BlackRock is highly likely, which will squeeze out much of our Colorado outdoor activity and nature businesses. I know for me if you don’t take action, speak out, and work to kill this bill you will not get my vote again. Keep Colorado Colorful, not Corporate.
