I am committed to supporting representatives who firmly reject the divisive rhetoric and actions of President Trump and his enablers. The censure of Rep. Al Green by a small group of moderate Democrats, who sided with Republicans, is a concerning sign of the continued support some hold for Trump's norm-breaking conduct. As your constituent, I will advocate for leaders who uphold democratic norms, denounce efforts to undermine our institutions, and work to bring the nation together rather than further partisan divides. We must move past the damaging legacy of Trumpism and its attacks on our democratic process. I will vote against the sort of Democrat that would vote to censure someone who is brave enough to speak out against Trump, decorum be damned.
