Legal immigrants strengthen healthcare workforce - protect, don't deport

To: Rep. Miller, Sen. Justice, Sen. Capito

Ending blanket deportations of legal immigrants working in the healthcare sector is crucial, as they comprise a significant portion of this essential workforce. Forcibly removing these dedicated professionals would severely undermine our nation's ability to deliver quality care, especially in underserved areas already facing staffing shortages. We rely on their expertise and commitment to maintain robust healthcare services for all Americans. Rather than target law-abiding immigrants, efforts should focus on addressing the real challenges plaguing our healthcare system, such as inadequate funding, uneven access, and lack of affordable coverage. Deporting vital healthcare workers is counterproductive and will only exacerbate existing issues, ultimately jeopardizing public health and wellbeing. A more humane and pragmatic approach is desperately needed.
