No one voted for a war with Iran - not everyday voters and not Congress. The President had not provided a clear or consistent logic to the initial attacks and does not appear to have any kind of exit plan or goals. I urge you to take immediate legislative action to halt this unauthorized military engagement and reject any additional requests for supplemental war funding. We the American people do not want another endless, costly, and devastating war in the Middle East. This conflict has already inflicted catastrophic harm, resulting in the loss of both civilian and military lives while destabilizing an already volatile region. We are now at risk of the United States falling into a prolonged conflict with no clearly defined endgame or exit strategy.
