The recent decision by the interior secretary to Grant broad powers to an unconfirmed representative from DOGE raises serious concerns about the integrity of oversight for our nation’s public lands. Allowing an unaccountable individual like Mr. Hassan to oversee potential budget, cuts and gain access to personnel files without going through the proper Senate confirmation process is unacceptable! Our public lands are a treasured resource that belong to all Americans, not an asset for corporations to exploit for profit. I urge you to take immediate action to defend these lands from privatization efforts and ensure proper transparency and accountability measures are in place for any leadership changes or policy decisions impacting our shared natural heritage.
