Block Trump's Unconstitutional Mail Ballot Interference Before the Midterms

To: Sen. Alsobrooks, Sen. Van Hollen, Rep. Elfreth

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

September 2

Do everything in your power to stop the Trump administration's takeover of mail ballot delivery before this fall's midterms. A federal whistleblower just revealed that the USPS system built to carry out Trump's executive order on mail voting was developed in a "rushed, chaotic, and fundamentally flawed process" — with workers describing it as a "s--- show" days before its planned launch. The system was built in under three months when a project like this normally takes nine to twelve months minimum. The design flaws alone should disqualify this system from ever going live. If a single barcode fails in a batch of 10,000 ballots, the entire batch gets rejected and returned to the state — meaning thousands of voters could be disenfranchised by a routine scanning error. This isn't incompetence by accident. It's an administration using the Postal Service as a tool to suppress votes under the cover of "verification." A court has blocked implementation for now, but that won't last forever. Congress needs to act — hold hearings, demand answers from Postmaster General David Steiner, and pass legislation that keeps the federal government's hands off ballot delivery.
