We do not consider rules of engagement designed to minimize civilian casualties to be “stupid,“ as Pete Hegseth has said. We do not support a war in which, 175 children are killed with impunity, likely because the administration has removed humane restrictions that would guard against such things. Our country is and should remain a beacon of freedom and liberty from oppression. We will not be seen as such if we do not abide by our own decency and by international rules of engagement. We demand that our leaders be held accountable.
