Support the Iran War Powers Resolution H.Con.Res. 86

To: Sen. Fetterman, Sen. McCormick

From: A verified voter in Lititz, PA

June 11

Support H.Con.Res. 86 and vote to end U.S. military involvement in Iran. It has been over 100 days since military operations began without a single vote from Congress. The War Powers Act of 1973 exists precisely to prevent this — an open-ended war funded by taxpayers and authorized by no one. The House passed this bipartisan resolution on June 3rd. The Senate needs to follow. The Trump administration's claim that a temporary ceasefire restarted the 60-day clock is a legal fiction designed to sideline Congress while U.S. naval vessels remain deployed around the Strait of Hormuz and hostilities continue across the region. This war has already cost billions of dollars and destabilized global energy markets. Congress has both the authority and the obligation to act now.
