Jackson Hospital

To: Gov. Ivey

From: A constituent in Hoover, AL

June 18

I’m calling about Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, which says it will announce its closure on June 25 without a deal with Blue Cross. That’s 1,800 jobs and an 80-year-old hospital the River Region depends on. The Governor has pledged $40 million but says she’ll defer to the two sides. With eight days left, I’m asking her to stop deferring and personally bring Blue Cross and Jackson to the table to reach a deal before the deadline. Please don’t wait until the doors close.
