Stop Sending Federal Troops Into American Cities
To: Pres. Trump
From: A constituent in Royersford, PA
September 6
We, the undersigned, call on former President Donald J. Trump to immediately end the practice of deploying federal troops into American cities.
The presence of heavily armed federal forces in our communities does not bring peace—it escalates tensions, undermines trust, and threatens the freedoms guaranteed to every American. The deployment of troops to Chicago has already shown us that militarized responses only deepen division and fear, rather than addressing the real issues our cities face.
Our cities need investment in communities, support for local leadership, and resources for jobs, healthcare, education, and housing—not federal crackdowns. Sending troops into our neighborhoods is not the answer to complex social and economic challenges.
We urge former President Trump to listen to the people of these communities, respect the autonomy of local governments, and stop sending troops into American cities. Safety and justice must be built from the ground up, not imposed at gunpoint.
We stand together for peace, justice, and the protection of civil liberties. End the deployments now.
