Congress must take concrete action to uphold our commitments to NATO and Ukraine and hold Donald Trump in check to prevent him from causing any further damage in the face of Russia's illegal invasion. We cannot afford to undermine our alliances or embolden authoritarian aggression by standing aside. Protecting democracy, territorial integrity and the rules-based international order requires a strong, unified response through severe economic sanctions on Russia and increased military aid to Ukraine's defense. Inaction would irreparably damage America's global standing and long-term national security interests.
