Social Security and Medicare are not entitlements. Hard working people pay into them each paycheck. It is your job to ensure the systems continue to pay out to older adults. You can easily fix the system by making the rich pay into the system on every dollar earned. Those of us making under $184,000 dollars per year (the vast majority of workers) do pay into the system for every dollar we earn. Those making more than $184,000 should do the same. They can afford to pay 6.2% on their full earned income.
