I am writing to urge you to publish the Equal Rights Amendment before leaving office. As a long-time Democrat, I consider this a test of my party's effectiveness. If you and the Party can't finalize something that so many have worked so hard on, and that requires no risk at all on your part, then I will know you cannot be effective on anything I care about going forward. If, on the other hand, you do publish, I will have some hope my party can stand up to Trump for the next four years, and actually earn my support. So, will you deliver on behalf of yourself and the Democrats? Or will all the statements about your willingness to fight for women's rights prove to be hollow? Please, don't make excuses or allow any further delays on women's rights. Publish the 28th Amendment immediately.
