Reject SAVE Act - Protects Women's Voting Rights

To: Rep. Kelly, Sen. Hyde-Smith, Sen. Wicker

From: A constituent in Oxford, MS

April 10

The SAVE Act poses a grave threat to the voting rights of millions of Americans, particularly women. This blatantly discriminatory bill would disenfranchise voters who have changed their names after marriage by requiring documentation that may not reflect their current legal name. Countless married women could be stripped of their ability to participate in our democracy. The SAVE Act is a direct attack on women's hard-won voting rights. By creating unnecessary barriers and mandating faulty voter roll purges, it silences the very voices it should protect. Women fought tirelessly for the right to vote, and we cannot allow this regressive legislation to undermine that struggle. I urge you to stand on the right side of history and vote no on the SAVE Act. Protecting every citizen's freedom to vote, regardless of gender or marital status, is essential to upholding our democratic values. Reject this dangerous bill and safeguard women's voting rights.
