Declaration of War

To: Sen. Cruz, Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Doggett

From: A constituent in Cedar Park, TX

February 28

I am writing to express serious concern regarding reports that military action was taken against Iran without prior Congressional authorization. The Constitution delegated to Congress the sole authority to declare war, ensuring that decisions of this magnitude are made with accountability and the consent of the American people. This is not an isolated incident. A repeated pattern of bypassing Congress by multiple administrations is not just a procedural issue. It is a direct challenge to the constitutional system of checks and balances and undermines the rule of law. If Congress allows this pattern to continue unchecked, it will forever abdicate its constitutional authority. As your constituent, I demand you take immediate and serious action to legitimize this action with a Congressional Resolution. I urge you to uphold your oath to the Constitution and act accordingly.
