I hope you will do everything in your power to make California safe for ALL its residents. The threats of the next president to deport thousands of people are not to be taken lightly. I hope you will speed up giving pardons to immigrants who are being threatened by ICE, because of convictions for crimes committed when they were young. Once released from prison, having served their time, they are immediately re-arrested by ICE.. a double whammy. Once out in the community, they work tirelessly to improve the lives of others. If you are serious about resisting what is coming down the pike from the White House beginning on 20th January , then please give these people and their families, who have lived practically all their life here, some relief and security by granting pardons.
