The charade that began on June 14, 2026, when Senator Mitch McConnell collapsed in his home has gone far enough. When it became clear the GOP was continuing the ruse, they were down one vote so their risk. The “person” who returned to the Senate floor this week just in time to “vote” on the farm bill is not a cognitive, fully functioning Mitch McConnell. Video evidence showed him vote no & his vote was changed after being told to say “aye.” His hand was raised for him. I’m reminded when our own Senator John McCain immediately after brain surgery flew against doctor’s orders to DC and walked onto the Senator floor to loudly vote NO without assistance & prompting. The actions around the McConnell vote cannot possibly be accordance with Senate voting rules. Please immediately demand: 1: His vote on the farm bill be vacated & declared null & void as it was done under physical & mental duress no different than when he was away on sick leave & not permitted to vote by proxy. 2: A cognitive test conducted by an independent neurologist & until the full Senate is provided with a report clearing him, he be barred from the Senate floor & “voting.” 3: Senate minority leaders be afforded a brief conversation on camera without interference from aides. You are all “friends across the aisle” & have never been blocked from private conversations with each other. If he’s fit for duty, this is no different. The Senate actions forcing & allowing this compromised, physically & mentally ill man to vote is elder abuse. Enough is enough.
