Begin impeachment proceedings against Justice Samuel Alito. His son, Philip Alito, was secretly employed as a political appointee attorney at the Treasury Department during the Trump administration — and Justice Alito sat on a Supreme Court case where Treasury was a named defendant without disclosing this or recusing himself. That is a textbook conflict of interest, and it cannot go unanswered.
Philip Alito deliberately concealed his identity at Treasury, introducing himself only as "Phil," with no public resume and no listing on the department's website. When the Supreme Court heard a challenge to Trump's emergency tariff powers in November, Treasury never disclosed his employment in court filings. Justice Alito then joined the dissent when the majority ruled against the administration in February. This isn't an appearance of impropriety — it is impropriety. Congress has the authority and the obligation to act. Start the process now.
