Increase Aid to Sudan
To: Pres. Biden
From: A constituent in Lubbock, TX
November 28
The humanitarian crisis in Sudan has reached catastrophic levels, with millions displaced, food insecurity rampant, and access to healthcare severely limited. Urgent action is needed to address the immediate needs of children and families caught in the crossfire of this brutal conflict. I implore you to increase emergency aid and funding to support relief efforts in Sudan and neighboring countries hosting refugees. The provision of food, clean water, shelter, medical care, and protection services is critical to saving lives and alleviating immense suffering. Furthermore, diplomatic efforts must be intensified to secure a lasting ceasefire and pave the way for a peaceful resolution to the crisis. With nearly half the population requiring humanitarian assistance, the scale of this emergency cannot be overstated. Children are among the most vulnerable, facing acute malnutrition, disrupted education, and grave protection risks. We have a moral imperative to act swiftly and decisively to uphold the rights and dignity of the Sudanese people. Inaction will only compound this catastrophe and its reverberating impacts across the region. I urge you to make the Sudan crisis a top priority and mobilize comprehensive support for those devastated by violence and displacement.
