Follow-Up on Congressional War Powers
To: Sen. Ossoff
From: A constituent in Atlanta, GA
January 4
I am following up on the message I sent yesterday regarding Congress’s constitutional role in authorizing acts of war.
Since that message was sent, Senator Raphael Warnock publicly stated that Congress must assert its authority and demand answers regarding recent U.S. military action involving Venezuela.
Given that development, I am writing to ask where you stand.
Do you agree that congressional authorization and oversight are required in this case, and what steps—if any—do you intend to take to ensure accountability moving forward?
I respectfully request a written response.
