You Cut Our Earned Benefits — Now Restore Them and Take No More
I am writing as your constituent regarding Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. You and many in your party campaigned on protecting these earned benefits. Voters took that promise seriously. Yet votes have already moved forward that cut into these programs, and there are signals more cuts are coming. I want to be direct: I do not know a single constituent in this district who supports cuts to these programs. Not one. These are benefits people paid into their entire working lives — for healthcare access and basic financial security for our parents, grandparents, neighbors, and eventually ourselves. I am asking you to oppose any further legislation that cuts or reduces funding to Medicare, Medicaid, or Social Security, to work to restore funding already cut, and to publicly state your position so voters in this district can hold you accountable before the next election. Broken promises on these programs will be remembered at the ballot box. I expect you to honor your word, and I will be watching how you vote.
