Defend democracy - a resolute stance for elected officials.
To: Rep. Lynch
From: A constituent in Abington, MA
February 23
Safeguarding our democratic principles should be a paramount priority for all elected officials. The concerning actions of the current administration, such as the dismissal of federal workers and the escalating constitutional crisis, pose a grave threat to the foundations of our republic. As a representative entrusted by the people, it is your duty to take a resolute stance in defense of our democratic values and processes. Merely maintaining a moderate position or failing to actively counteract undemocratic overreaches would be a dereliction of your responsibilities to your constituents and the nation. The times call for principled leadership and an unwavering commitment to upholding the Constitution and the will of the people above all else. I urge you to be a vocal champion for democracy and to use the full extent of your power to safeguard our system of government from any attempts to undermine it.
