I just received a voice mail from Rep Harshbarger’s staff saying she “voted to reopen the government.” I’m wondering how this is possible while the House is out of session (in order to avoid voting.) I would encourage Rep Harshbarger to go back to Washington and actually vote to save our healthcare as she promised to do, release the Epstein files, and then there will be enough votes to reopen the government. The republicans hold all three branches of government. The shutdown is on the republicans. Your constituents are not all stupid. Please don’t treat us as such. I am so grateful for the democrats in Congress who are actually fighting for our healthcare and human decency. We are not fooled. Please do your job and act like you care about the people of Tennessee and the rest of the United States. Election Day is coming.
