16 years after Citizens United, Hawaii's S.B. 2471—a bill under which Hawaii would no longer grant corporations the power to spend in its politics—has passed both chambers with bipartisan support and is now one step away from Gov. Green’s desk. Let’s do that here! If we can get money out of politics we could have a real democracy! It’s disgusting the way wealthy donors buy elections. I was raised to believe that the US is a democracy. I’m still waiting. We could at least do that in California.
