I’m writing to urge you to take immediate action to end the government shutdown and fully restore SNAP benefits. Right now, millions of families—including children, seniors, veterans, and people with disabilities—are facing food insecurity because of political gridlock. SNAP is not a bargaining chip. It’s a lifeline that keeps food on the table and dignity intact for those who need it most. Wisconsinites deserve a functioning government that protects basic needs, not one that withholds them. I ask you to reject any proposals that cut or restrict SNAP, and to support a clean funding bill that reopens the government and ensures uninterrupted access to food assistance. Please act swiftly. Lives and livelihoods are on the line.
