I am writing to demand that you stand up for the federal employees you represent and defend them against the continued attacks by Russell Vought and this administration. Federal employees are the people who keep this country functioning every day. They administer Social Security, care for our veterans, protect our borders, inspect our food, respond to disasters, conduct medical research, enforce our laws, and provide countless other essential services. Yet they have become political targets. The ongoing attacks on federal agencies, collective bargaining rights, and the dedicated public servants who carry out the work of government are unacceptable. Weakening the federal workforce weakens the services that millions of Americans depend on every day. I expect you to defend workers’ rights, protect collective bargaining, support our unions, and oppose efforts to dismantle or undermine federal agencies for political purposes. Public servants deserve respect, fair treatment, and the ability to do their jobs without being used as political pawns. Leadership requires courage. Silence in the face of these attacks is a choice. If you fail to stand up for federal employees, their families, retirees, veterans, and the communities that depend on these services, voters will remember. Federal employees vote. Their families vote. The Americans who rely on the services they provide vote. If you choose not to stand up for the federal workforce and the rights of working Americans, you should not expect their support at election time. Elections have consequences, and so does failing to represent the people you were elected to serve. I urge you to publicly oppose these attacks, defend our federal workforce, protect unions and collective bargaining rights, and fight to preserve the integrity of our federal agencies. The people you represent are watching, and they deserve to know where you stand.
